Holland High’s Shanoya Douglas delivered a dominant performance at Champs, smashing the girls’ Class One 200m record and the national junior mark with a gold medal-winning time of 22.36 seconds on Saturday.

Edwin Allen’s Alexxe Henry finished second in 23.63, while teammate Shanique Cassanova took bronze in 24.17.

Douglas erased the previous Champs record of 23.53 set by Brianna Lyston in 2022. She also broke Briana Williams’ national junior record of 22.50 set in 2018.

Her time moves her joint 10th on the all-time World under-20 list over the distance.

Today's the final day of the 2026 ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships, which is taking place at the National Stadium.
