The incident occurred on January 14, 2026.

The St Catherine Parish Court is to continue hearing a bail application on behalf of two of three men charged in connection with the alleged theft of a Toyota Probox motor car.

The accused are 34-year-old Glendon Walker, 26-year-old Reshaun Peters, and 18-year-old Magabi Allen.

The court started hearing a bail application on Peter's behalf on Friday.

The lawyer told the court that the evidence against Peters was not overwhelming, and that he was not inside the stolen vehicle but was only having a conversation.

The court was informed that Peters had half of his body inside the Probox speaking with Walker. Allen was previously charged with a similar offence as a juvenile and later acquitted about a month prior to the incident.

Presiding judge Desiree Alleyne said community reports and antecedents were required to assist the process.

A fingerprint order was also made in relation to the accused.

The matter was adjourned to April 24 for continuation of the bail application.

Allegations outlined by the Clerk of Court are that on February 16, the owner of a 2014 Toyota Probox, valued at $950,000, securely parked his vehicle at home before later discovering it had been stolen. The vehicle was equipped with a tracker.

A report was made to police in St Catherine and an investigation launched.

At about 5:45 a.m., police tracked the car to the North South Highway in St Catherine, where the three accused were observed having a conversation on the roadside beside another parked vehicle.

On the approach of police, Walker allegedly drove off in the stolen Probox and was pursued and apprehended.

The other two were also held.

All three were subsequently charged with larceny of motor vehicle.
