Marquies Page of St Jago High School shattered the boys’ Class Two 110m hurdles Champs record at the National Stadium on Friday, clocking a blistering 12.98 seconds in the semi-finals.

Page dominated the race, erasing the previous record of 13.26 seconds set by St Jago's Vashaun Vascianna in 2019.

He also became the first Class Two athlete to break the 13-second barrier.

Divondrae Matthews of Calabar High School was the next fastest qualifier with 13.34 seconds, while Mark-Daniel Allen of Wolmer's Boys' School advanced third fastest in 13.39.

The Class Two 110m hurdles final is scheduled for Saturday at 2:10 p.m.
