Son appeals for help as mother with Alzheimer’s missing in St Andrew

A 74-year-old woman believed to be in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease has been reported missing after she left her home in Mona Commons, Papine, St Andrew, early Sunday, the family says.

She has been identified as Lesa Esson.

Her son Michael Phillips said she was last seen at the family’s home about 4 a.m.

“Somebody leave the gate open and before day this morning, she come out and [wi] can’t find har since,” he said, urging persons to share any information that may assist in locating her.

Persons with information that may assist in finding Esson are being asked to call 876-566-4853 or 119.

Alzheimer's disease is a type of dementia that affects memory, thinking and behaviour.
