The alleged incident is being probed.

The home of a journalist was raided by law enforcement agents as part of a “massive” money laundering investigation, sources have disclosed.

Sources revealed that the investigation centres around alleged manipulation of National Commercial Bank (NCB) stocks.

The Gleaner has not named the journalist because he has not been charged with any crime.

The search of his St Andrew apartment was conducted last Wednesday, multiple sources reported.

“We believe a massive stock manipulation for unknown motive at this point is taking place with NCB stocks to depress the price,” said a police investigator.

“We are not sure what is the reason behind it,” the investigator added.

Several items, including cellular phones, were confiscated during the search.
