Body found afloat near beach in Hellshire

An investigation is under way to ascertain the identity of a man whose body was found floating near a beach along the Hellshire main road in St Catherine on Friday.
According to police reports, about 4:04 p.m., a passerby alerted authorities to the partially nude body, which was subsequently pulled ashore.
On arrival, officers noted that the man, dressed only in a pair of sneakers, appeared to be of dark complexion, approximately 5ft 8in tall, and estimated to be between 28 and 32 years old.
The body was removed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.'
The police are awaiting a postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.
The Hellshire police are investigating.
