Loving Lintons

As mere strangers, Carsia James and Kashekee Linton made their first connection on Instagram. Their conversations and virtual interactions were so great that they decided to meet in person a few weeks later in the paradise parish more formally known as Portland. Their first encounter ignited a new spark in their hearts, and the couple became husband and wife three years later.
“We started having casual conversations on Instagram then we decided to meet in Portland. After conversing for a while, I decided to give it a try with this amazing woman,” Kashekee told Island Wedding. He explained further that when he first laid eyes on his soulmate, he was pleasantly surprised by her beauty, “The first time I saw her, I thought to myself, ‘Wow! What a beautiful woman!’ I fell in love with her passion for God and how calm and collective she was.”
The pair went on their official date at church, where Carsia saw a new side to Kashekee. “I invited him to church and he came. The church service was great. I was watching his reaction to the message being preached and he was very attentive. The rest is history,” she said.
Two weeks after their initial conversation, they became a couple.
Carsia continues to admire just how respectful, kind, family-oriented, loving and Godly her twin flame is, “He has a big heart. He will give the world his last and do without.”
Bringing out the very best in her, Kashekee has taught Carsia the importance of being true to herself, no matter what others may think.
“Before I met him, I was a bit on the loud side. But he has since grounded me and made me feel at peace. As an active listener, we have open and honest communication. He values my opinion, mutual respect is always shown and we enjoy spending quality time together,” she revealed.
Attracted to her ambition and intellect, Kashekee can’t get enough of Carsia’s radiant beauty and caring nature. “When I developed a greater understanding of how she was as a person, Carsia was way more beautiful than I thought on the inside,” he shared.
He continued, “She has prayed with me. And whenever I’ve felt dismayed, she lifts me up with positive words and her vibrant smile. I now have a better understanding about life because of our relationship. The fact that I have someone to talk to, who I can trust, is the most wonderful feeling.”
This loving duo enjoys rekindling their romance with dinners and beach dates. When they’re not watching movies or playing games, they can be found listening to music, reconnecting with nature, worshipping and praying together.
“We basically do everything together,” Carsia added.
Following their two-month courtship, Kashekee proposed to Carsia on her birthday while she was getting ready for church. The engaged couple depended squarely on the location to plan the nuptials. As for the wedding dress, Carsia ended up with not one, but two bridal gowns.
“My bridal dress [selection] was stressful. I ended up with two bridal dresses,” she said, adding, “The first one I ordered overseas, it came very big and could not be adjusted because of the style and how huge it was. So, I searched on Instagram for bridal dresses in Montego Bay [and] found a store, Bridal Gowns by Neita. That’s where I found the perfect dress for me.”
After being together for almost three years, the duo joined hands in holy matrimony on the bride’s birthday, October 15, at Couples Sans Souci in Ocho Rios, St Ann.
According to the groom, the wedding was everything that he hoped for, and more. “The wedding was amazing and so beautiful. The best moment for me was seeing my bride walking up the aisle,” he said.
The blushing bride shared similar sentiments, noting that the best moment for her was when they were announced husband and wife.
“We have been through so much warfare. But God was always there. It has been a journey and I am giving Jesus all the glory for our journey together and making everything possible,” Mrs Linton added.
To keep nuptial traditions alive, the newly-weds celebrated this exciting chapter at their reception, basking in the bliss of matrimony to their wedding soundtrack Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
