There is ‘blessing’ in the ‘breaking’

To say there is blessing in the breaking — cespecially after facing massive damage that shook our nation, it sounds harsh, doesn’t it? Let’s pause for a moment and ask ourselves: is there anyone who hasn’t faced some form of breaking in their life?

Every one of us has lived through storms that tested our strength, stretched our patience, and shaped us into wiser and stronger individuals. The phase of breaking is painful, and while we are in it, it feels endless. Yet, no night has ever stopped the morning from coming.

SEEING BEYOND IMMEDIATE LOSS

Most times, it is not the breaking itself that breaks us but the meaning we attach to it. Two people may face the same storm, but one sees only loss while the other sees the chance for a new beginning. Breaking teaches us to look for the hidden blessing behind the curtain of pain. Those who lift their eyes and look beyond the surface discover a new perspective rising within them — even while the wound is fresh.

REBUILDING NEW VISION

The recent breaking has shaken many of us, but what stands out is how we have come together, supporting one another to rebuild. However, are we rebuilding exactly what was before? No. We are building better. Some even say nature cleared out the old so that something better can take its place.

When we look through a small lens, we see only loss. But when we broaden our vision, we recognise that something new is being shaped for us, by us, and through us. We become creators of new surroundings, new strength, new version of ourselves. Yes, the work may feel overwhelming; helping hands may seem very few. But human power, when fuelled by determination, can turn one man into an army and one woman into a full force of nature. We need to remind ourselves of the immense strength we carry within and channel our energy there.

FROM VICTIMHOOD TO VICTORY

Are we still discussing destruction, or have we begun planning new construction? When we focus only on what we lost, we lose even more that is still there. Let’s choose not to be victims of a force stronger than us. Instead, let’s realise that inner strength can rise above any challenge.

When we say to ourselves, “No loss can break me,” then even breaking becomes a blessing. And if you cannot yet see the blessing yourself, lean on someone who can. But do not remain in the place of helplessness. You are not a victim — you are chosen for a new beginning.

Never rush through the pain, but don’t sit in it forever. Awaken and rise.
